I'm trying to help a colleague with a very challenging request. He's read
a book from 1949 by Dan Billany and David Bowie called The Cage. He's
looking for original reviews from British sources. He isn't interested in
how the American reviewers liked the book. He has struck out with the
local public and university libraries, except for a short paragraph they
were able to find from a source called Punch in 1949. He believes this
book was more widely reviewed. I'm not getting very far from where I sit.
Do any of my cyber colleagues in the UK have the ability to track down any
of this information? I'd be forever grateful if someone is able to find
something. TIA.
Jody
