Friends, This is a little ironic since my last query had to do with censorship, but we need a "tremendous speaker" who will get our faculty involved in literacy. Our literacy scores went down so much during the testing at the end of the year that it was a wake up call to a few people. We need to know what we can do to get all the faculty both professionally and personally involved in this whole literacy process---reading and writing. We have AR in all schools except the high school, and I am not advocating putting it here, but I do want our students and teachers to be more inspired. Two things are contributing to this problem---teachers who use overheads for all notes and don't make the students use their brains at all in notetaking and the computers. Suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks for your continuing help and support.
