I have been following these posts avidly as I believe that book promotion
thru display is a crucial part of my role, and I snitch a lot of ideas from
displays I see in shops, as well as keeping a file on all the good ideas
that come thru this list. In the December issue of Teacher-Librarian I have
written a few paragraphs about some of the ideas that I have used and there
is also a link to pix of some of these displays on the PDPS website.
I have a whole lot more to add which I will do when I get my 'real' computer
back - am currently using my laptop - and I can't wait till November when I
can start working on my latest Christmas display for Santa's Book Shop 2002!

But I definitely prefer to shelve by author name, altho I do have all the
series together because it saves space, and makes for a quick and easy
turnaround.
