As a preliminary activity to creating a blueprint for integrating information skills throughout our school curriculum, I will be providing them with some sample college research paper topics, and asking them to list the skills students need to successfully complete the assignment. I have gotten a couple of these from an article that was in last year's Knowledge Quest that focused on teaching hs students skills so that they succeed in college. One of these was from a core science class, one from an education class on special education, and there were 1-2 others. However, I would like to get a couple more. So if you have kids in college and can ask (or e-mail) them, I would love to hear about some of the assignments/papers/projects that college students these days are being asked to do. Thanks!
