Here's the HIT... not much of one (2 responses).

ORIGINAL REQUEST:
I love spoonerisms. What books, poems, videos, etc. have you used
that contain spoonerisms?

I immediately think of Jim Henson's "The Frog Prince," in which the
princess is put under an enchantment so she "streaks spangely."
("I'm hitting sere, quinking thietly and ooking lat this fritty
plower!")

RESPONSES:

If anyone has an opportunity to hear Zilch the Toryseller, a Spoonerism
storyteller that I heard last summer at the Bristol Renaissance Faire
in Wisconsin, by all means, Run don't walk to hear him. His
performance had us all in tears of laughter. I don't know if he is
from Wisconsin, or if he follows the faire circuit, but by all means,
he is worth a trip or a visit.

Ruby Mae Has Something to say by David Small has one such line.
"There is nothing like a well boiled icicle." =A0I think if you are
going to have students think up some Ruby Mae would be a great
character for you to use. =A0You could call them Ruby Mae-isms. =A0Have
fun!
