I am on a committee at our new school to come up with ideas for having murals painted throughout the school, as well as in our media center. At my previous school our theme was environmental and so we chose to have rainforest animals reading books. It was very well done and cute to see an iguana perched on a tree's branch, looking at the open pages of a book, a monkey swinging from a tree as he held an open book, etc. Now, our new school has as its theme, American History. I would like to have some new ideas for what to paint on the walls of the media center to tie in reading and the American History theme. If anyone has suggestions, please e-mail me at the address below. Thank you, so much.
