Dear LM_NETers, A few weeks ago, I posted a request for volunteers for a project my = graduate students will be doing in my fall course, "Information Technologie= s in Educational Organizations." I received a number of responses and = those who did respond, please be assured that your Web site will be = evaluated. My class is even larger this fall than anticipated and more Web sites are = needed. If you have a school or library media center Web site that you = would like to have evaluated, please let me know asap. My students will be = learning how to evaluate Web sites using the WebMAC and Content Validity = instruments (developed by myself and Marilyn Arnone) and for their = assignment each student will evaluate an actual Web site and write an = evaluation consultant report to the client (you). The report will describe = the results of the evaluation in detail and will include ideas for = improvement. We have done this several times in the past and the clients = find the results extremely valuable. Of course, you are under no obligation= to implement any of the suggestions but many clients do and have emailed = me how pleased they are with the changes. If you would like to volunteer your Web site for evaluation, please = contact me no later than September 13 at the email address below. In your = message, include your name, school name, location, URL, and any other = information you think is useful.=20 You are not only helping future school library professionals but you will = be receiving high level feedback on your site.
