Has anyone done any type of contest or incentive-type thing for kids or whole classes bringing their books back on time? I have to possibility of using an ice cream 'carrot'. I detest rewarding kids for reading with sugar and trinkets, but I have shamelessly bribed kids to bring their books back. That happens at the end of every year. I'd like to know about types of 'encouragement' that happen throughout the year. Has anyone had any success with such a plan? Thanks!!
