Doug - K-8 we are going with -Courage, Hope, and Remembrance- featuring
"Characters in Courage" and focusing on George Washington from the past and
the heroes of the 9/11 tragedy. Posters, banners, songs, poems, etc. will
be created starting tomorrow when school starts for us. We'll continue the
character theme throughout the year, a different aspect and historical
figure each month. At a school-wide assembly on the 11th, our grades 5-8
will fill out service pledge cards - for one hour of community/school
service on the 13th. Grades 7&8 will pick up trash in a local park, Grade 6
at the church next door, Grade 5, our campus. Good luck with your program.
