Dear All: I am in the process of weeding an AV collection which includes records, filmstrips, and cassette tapes. I have been asked to estimate a value since we do not have a value amount on file for some reason. Has anyone done this recently? I know that filmstrips/filmstrip kits were somewhat expensive at one time, however I am considering estimating a 50% value of a "new" AV product to replace them. For example, a Nat'l Geog filmstrip/tape set would be estimated at an average of $10-15 as 50% of a Nat'l Geog video to replace the set. What do you think? How should records be estimated? Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!
