This is the seventh year of involvement with the AR program at two schools.
For AR I attended a one day workshop many years ago. My question is do you
have teachers who allow students to read and test on the same book that they
read the previous year? What do you do about checking out books when the
teacher allows them to do it? Do you award them points again that they can
spend for the same book they previously read ? I also run the store. I know
you can import their tests from the last year but one of my grade levels
refuse to do that. Thus, when the students come to check out a book I tell
them that they have read this before and they say their teacher allows them
to.Indeed the fifth grade does. I have always told kids in the past that
they accelerate and move on and you look for new books. We have about 4,500
tests in the building . If you have any ideas please send them to my email
address. I am really curious as to how common this is and how do I handle it
at check out.
