I'll reply to the list since this is a timely topic... "What's in the News," the national current events program for grades 4-6, will have a live call-in show next Wednesday (9-11) called "Kids Ask About Terrorism". Many public television stations broadcast this series for their schools, so check with your local PBS station if you don't know whether you get it. More information at http://witn.psu.edu/home.html <http://witn.psu.edu/home.html> They are also airing a series of programs called "Naming the Nightmare: The Journey back from 9-11". Again, ask your local public television station (today so they can plan to get it if they aren't already) or if you have access to satellit feed, according to their Web site "A FREE satellite feed for classroom and community use of this series will be on Sunday, September 8 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. EDT (1930-2130)." More information including teacher guides for the shows and video previews at: http://www.namingthenightmare.org/ <http://www.namingthenightmare.org/> They also have a current events Web site that provides a forum for students to discuss these issues: http://www.kidstimes.org/ <http://www.kidstimes.org/> Hope this helps someone...
