Hi Charles,

I would look at state standards or AASL's standards document to help
determine levels of library quality. Both Minnesota's
<http://cfl.state.mn.us/library/mnschoolstandards.pdf> and AASL's use a
rubric format that give multiple levels of quality, including excellent
or exemplary.

All the best,

Doug

Subject: Excellent SLMC's

Charles O'Bryan, Graduate student and Board of Education Member,
University at Albany, co4853@albany.edu

School library media centers and their programs are often viewed as
weak, good, strong, or excellent. My question relates to the excellent
category.

"What key indicator(s) would you look for to determine if a SLMC was
'excellent'?"

Thank you for your help!

Charles O'Bryan
