As soon as I sent the message I thought of a brilliant idea. What about
a research paper about "war!" Students could be required to interview
someone with war experience; WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, Gulf War I,
and then combine their interview with some research about the war
itself.
What do you think?

A master teacher wants to do a mini research topic with a group of
non-motivated, average seniors (It's a month and a half to graduation
folks!).
No career research, no argumentative essay, no biography search, no Iraq
War stuff, and she's done the I-searches with them. This has to be a
"knock-the-socks off of them" idea.
Any ideas?
