SEC: Book discussion class

I just spoke with one of our reading teachers about the possibility of
us co-teaching a "book discussion" elective class. I don't know if such
a thing exists, but it sounded like a really cool idea to us! The idea
would be geared for students who like to read, and we would either all
read the same book or different books with a similar theme. Is there
anyone out there who is involved in a class like this, either teaching
it yourself or someone else in your school. If so, what is it called,
how do they structure it, is it successful? Any info would be
appreciated!
