Dear Colleagues,

As a foot soldier in the LM_NET Signature File Police Force, I
periodically open every daily message and read signature files to see
if we are sharing needed information. I have been happy to notice so
many responses from fellow librarians based overseas.

I have enjoyed being an overseas school library media specialist since
1978. LM_NET is so important to me because I find what I do, and the
information I need, is so similar to what my stateside colleagues are
doing or have done.

Like many of our members, I respond to issues regularly, usually
responding directly to the person posting, and not to the entire list. I
have made an exception in this case to "show the flag" as it
were.

Best regards,

>I sure wish that we could hear more often from some of the librarians
from
>the different parts of the world. Your viewpoints and concerns
would
>definitely make great topics for thinking and expanding our
understanding of
>what it means to be a librarian.
