Shannon, Some books that I have found good to read aloud to 4th graders include: The Hatchet by Gary Paulsen Brian's Winter by Gary Paulsen The Watson's go to Birmingham -- 1963 by Christopher Paul Curtis The Landry News by Andrew Clements The Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler by E.L. Konigsburg Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing by Judy Blume Harry Potter books 1-3 are also good..... My Life in Dog Years by Gary Paulsen These are books that I have actually read to 3rd and 4th graders (we are multi-age). There are others that I would like to try in the future, but I know these are good. I do realize that Gary Paulsen is listed a few times here, but he is really good at captivating the attention of boys. Girls like his writing, too.=20 Jessica Morgan Media/Technology Coordinator Tri-District School Maplewood, MN =09 =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=- All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
