Bay Area--author visits

Hi everyone,
    Every November when it is time to do our book faire we invite an
author to talk to our students.  I wonder if anyone has some
suggestions.  We can't afford more than $500  which limits our choices.
Right now I'm looking at Mark Rauzon , Elizabeth Koehler-Pentacoff,
Gennifer Choldenko and Shirley Climo as possibilities.  Have any of you
had any of these for author visits?
