School hasn't even started yet and already I am getting questionable requests to copy materials. Fortunately the district tec person has not set up the CD burner yet so I was able to side step a request to copy a music CD. Fair use guide lines are very confusing and I have not kept up on changes in the law. Is it still possible to create a copy of a tape or CD for circulation purposes if the original is archived and not used? Can anyone point me to a sign, statement or poster that would be appropriate to post around copy machines, computers, cd burners, etc. stating appropriate fair use guide lines?
