Our MS (middle school) and US (upper school) teachers have each (hopefully)
created a webpage that is hosted by the school. Each division / subject /
class has a "homework" area that a parent can check to see what is due or
what the assignments were for the day.

Most of the time the teachers will put their "lesson plans" on the web pages
before school starts each year and then adjust them after school starts--if
something changes. They will usually post their daily assignments both on
the board in the class and online. Everyone has been taught "some" webpage
design in the middle school and we all use Publisher.

Here are some examples of the teacher's pages:

http://faculty.trinityvalleyschool.org/kannant/

http://faculty.trinityvalleyschool.org/fifthgrade/

http://faculty.trinityvalleyschool.org/smiths/

http://faculty.trinityvalleyschool.org/prestonr/

It does take time and there are many times that I know it's been hard, but
the parents love it (many have commented about how easy it is to access) and
it doesn't cost anything...except time!
