Here's one more hit. Thanks everyone for your help, I appreciate it. Hi- I saw your post about booktalks. I am doing a RIF program geared towards 5th grde. I chose lower level to on level books to accomodate the student population's needs. I am going to meet three times with the same 120 students. I have to come up with some kind of motivational activity each visit. I have three grouping 1- Mystery and adventure(Bunnicula strikes again, A-Z Mysteries and Time warp Trio) 2- Strange and scary(Scary Stories 3, Ripleys believe it or not, Worlds Weirdest Creatures,) 3- Realistic Fiction ( Nothing's Fair in Fifth Grade, Help I'm Trapped Series) I also purchased some joke books. I have the titles but I nees some good ideas for the activities other than book talking. Let me know if you get any great ideas...
