Target: Books on Cooperation and Competition-4th-5th grade level

My fifth grade teachers are looking for a read-aloud they can integrate into
a "Cooperation and Competition" theme. They prefer something on a 4th-5th
grade level as they plan to use with all students. The teacher  requesting
suggestions said she was looking for something "fun" like The Watsons Go To
Birmingham.
I told her I'd go to the experts.
Does anyone have any ideas?
