One of the least expensive ways we've been decorating this year is with
movie posters from the video store. We have used The Hulk to highlight
a graphic novel display, Seabiscuit, etc., to highlight books from
novels. Last week we had drawings every period & used about 2 dozen as
prizes.

We also feature art displays from senior high studio art classes. The
kids are always interested in other students' art, and the art classes
need places to create displays.

Handmade snowflakes suspended from the ceiling make an inexpensive
winter decoration. (Students love the chance to make them, too.)

We are a rural school, and a popular display of outdoor & hunting and
fishing magazines and books was highlighted with a 2-yd piece of
camouflage material from the local fabric store.
