Oops! I left off the actual topic for December: Wit and Humor

Knock, knock
Who's there?
Yule
Yule who?
Yule make your students happy if you update this well used and loved section
of the library media collection!

A brief explanation of Weed of the Month for new LM_NET members: The
SUNLINK Weed of the Month began in September, 1997, from an idea
by Mike Eisenberg, co-owner of LM_NET, and as an effort to help provide
Florida's School Library Media Specialists with guidelines and
suggestions for weeding their collections a little at a time as well
as adding quality materials. A section of the collection is
identified each month during the school year (September through May)
as a weeding target.

For more information, including guidelines for weeding this area,
suggested titles to examine, and possible titles to consider for
purchase, go to http://www.sunlink.ucf.edu/weed/ . The current topic, as
well as the archives of previous Weed of the Month topics may be found at
the same location by scrolling down the menu bar on the left side of the
screen.

It does not matter how many books you may have, but whether they are good or
not. -- Lucius Annaeus SENECA (3 B.C.-65 A.D.)
