Good Morning!
I just got a new WD 80 MG Hard Drive to put in my Presario 5690 PIII and
I am having a heck of a time! I install it with the Western Digital
Software that comes with it. Then it tells me to insert my Win 2000 CD
and let it install. It goes through the setup having to reformat again
as it says it wasn't ready. After formatting again, it goes back to the
beginning and starts setup all over again! I can never get beyond it. I
have followed every instruction, checked things, checked the Compaq/HP
site, the Microsoft site and the WD site and I'm stumped. Any thoughts?
Does the Win2000 cd lock after so many tries? Thanks in advance.
