Others requested I share my information so, here is a list of suggestions for purchasing paperbacks. Thank you to everyone that sent suggestions. Salli Mackin at mackin.com I use Baker and Taylor. The NYS contract is 30% discount. Cataloging is free. I think their fill rate is very good also. We really like dealing with Lake-Cook Distributors, Inc. 612 S. Wheeling Rd. Wheeling, IL 60090-5707 (Phone 800-677-6047). They provide reasonable paperbacks for Grades 6-12. They are extremely prompt and very easy to deal with. They have a catalog but also have access to titles not listed in their catalog. I highly recommend Mackin Books (www.mackin.com)in Minnesota. Free shipping and processing (over $50, I think) Depending on what you are looking for, try www.bookdepot.com (requires $250 min order to get the wholesale prices), or www.bookcloseouts.com , or Scholastic Monthly Book Club fliers. I order from Amazon.com. I have used Follett Educational Services for paperbacks. They are a part of Follett Library Services, but they have a different number.
