Thanks for the help. The original TARGET is below.

Sarah

We're working on the debate book section. We've weeded the section and
are now looking for new stuff. These are the books that typically look
at both sides of a controversial issue. I've gone through:
Opposing Viewpoints
Current Controversies
Taking Sides
Ideas in Conflict
I'm looking for other series or publishers to check and any of these
debate books that have recently taken a hit.

Grolier has a good series called Pro/Con.
Also, if you have Internet access, Sirs is good
and Gale's Opposing Viewpoints Online.

If you can get Internet but have no money,
try the social issues links at the Multnomah Library
Homework Center.

If you have no Internet, consider the print version
of SIRS (Social Issues Research Series), which includes
indexed articles on current issues.
Another good print resource is CQ Researcher, also
indexed articles. They also have an online version.

Grolier (Scholastic Library Publishing) has something called Pro/Con.
If you go to http://www.scholasticlibrary.com/ and do a Search on Pro/Con
you can find the info. They say it is for grades 8-12.
