This reminds me of a techniques used by a librarian in my former school.
The kids who really wanted to visit would alway head for the table waaay
in the back. If you walked back to quite them down, they usually were
busy working by the time you got to them. She would say in a very loud
voice "Table 6 you are too loud" Or "table 12 you need to quiet down" It
would work for the whole room and the strange thing is that the table's
weren't numbered in any way!
