I agree with Susan on this issue.  The fact that this event was sponsored by
the First Lady (that's Laura Bush, David) for the promotion of poetry and
the participants blindsided her by trying to make it a platform for their
political views explains why she had to cancel the event.  The anger that
David exihibits indicates a sympathy with the anti-war movement, which I
understand.  However, does freedom of speech include the freedom to embarass
your host?
