Dear "collective wisdom" and other experts -

We give a "performance task assessment" to all Seniors - it is our "exit
exam" - IF a student passes the 10th grade state test, s/he does not have to
pass the performance task.

I have been asked to collect news articles which will be used in the Senior
task - read three articles - take a stance, etc.

This usually involves about 50 students.

My question - is there a copyright issue here? Of course I'm hoping not,
but if there is, then I'm wondering how to proceed. My sense is that there
is no "clearing house" for granting permission as with videos - how would
one proceed?

Julie
