Thanks for the input! Here's the hit:

Not only have I seen them, I even have their video! Last summer our regional
library system sponsored their abbreviated "concert" in our small town. The kids
absolutely loved them. During their show they throw sci-fi books out to the crowd.
All of their songs are inspired by science fiction authors and books. They asked
(shouted, screamed, bellowed) questions about the books to the audience. When the
kids answered books were tossed their way. Okay, so this is my 30th year in the
gig, and I have never seen anything quite like it. A couple of my students wanted
to see me in the mosh pit. (Like that was going to happen!) A few of my "totally
cool" students sidled up next to me thinking I would give them some of the answers
(I did). Bloodhag is a hoot. Rock on.

We had Bloodhag here in Lacey, Washington a couple of years ago. While the
audience was small, the kids (ranging in age from 6th grade to seniors) seemed to
really enjoy them. Be prepared for really loud music and not being able to
understand the lyrics. The throwing of the books into the audience was cool and
the band was very willing to talk to the audience before, during and after the show.

I read a wonderful article on these guys that tickled me no end. They actually
THROW paperback books out into their audiences and hold book discussions. What a
cool idea. And a lot of their songs are about BOOKS.

Dreadful name, great concept.

I've heard of them. There was a big article about them in a local newspaper several
months ago.

They may even be from the Seattle area, for all I remember. I can try to find that
article, if you need it.

Never heard of them, but they have a website at bloodhag.com

They are located out of Seattle, WA, and have a pretty interesting website,
below:http://www.bloodhag.com/

Some of the local area libraries are hosting their shows.

Look on their website before deciding. Their lyrics need a look.
