My school has received an Atlas grant and I have signed up to do some activities after school with the children who will be in this program. Actually parents can attend too. I signed up to teach extended library and puppetry. Is anyone knowledgeable in the area of puppetry? Can you recommend some activities to do with the group? What have you done? Are their any good puppets I need or any good puppetry books I can use as a reference? Web sites on the topic? Any other advice you can pass along? Are their any puppet building kits? (Some type of package where all the parts of the puppet are included you just have to put it together.) I thought it might be need to build a puppet theatre and then make our own puppets and props to go along with a story. What story is the next big question :) Any help would be appreciated! THANKS!
