GEN: Request of Am. Sign Lang. teacher

Hi all,

I am posting this request for a teacher who is just starting an American
Sign Language class at our school.  She would really like some help and
approached me for ideas.  I told her that this group might be of
help.  Below is her "official" request.  Please send any responses directly

Hi,

I am a new high school ASL teacher, looking for a list-serv - or just an
opportunity for collegial conversations via Internet---with other high
school ASL teachers, to share ideas, concerns, anecdotes, advice.  After
many months of searching, both on my own, and through ASLTA and the Maine
Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, I've had very little success.

My high school librarian, Mary Buckley, has kindly offered to assist me in
this search by sending this email to her email list of school librarians,
who may be able to hand-deliver this inquiry to someone on their staff who
may be teaching ASL and would be interested in such conversations with me.

I thank you for your help, and look forward to meeting some of your
colleagues on-line.
