I would like to recommend a terrific novel I just finished. It is called The
Passion of Artemisia by Susan Vreeland. It is about Artemisia
Gentileschi, a post-Renaissance Italian artist who led an incredible life.
Her work, along with her father's work, was at the Met in NYC last
Spring. There was also a play about her in Soho, "Lapis Blue, Blood
Red." I saw both and they were awesome.
