Dear LM Net Friends, I've been happily pursuing the books suggested by you as best books for = the year. Imagine my surprise to find a book that brings to mind at = least three uses in the classroom besides being an entertaining read. = _If The Shoe Fits: Voices From Cinderella_would make an excellent = Reader's Theater piece as well as a perfect book to illustrate point of = view and character. The book is written by Laura Whipple and illustrated = quite charmingly by Laura Beingessner and could be used in classes = fourth grade and up. As an adult reader, I appreciated understanding a = bit more of the motivation behind the actions of Cinderella's father and = the wicked stepmother. As I write this, I know that statement sounds = comical. This is a fairy tale, after all.=20 Ada G.
