Target: Personal Digital Assistants (PDA's)

My superintendent was so impressed with the responses I received about
school districts purchasing laptops for teachers that she asked me to
post another question to the listserv. Has your school district
purchased PDA's for teacher use?  If so, was it a PALM, IPAC, or
something else?  What are teachers doing with them?  Was training
provided?  What are the benefits?  What are the drawbacks?  Do you have
any research on the use of PDA's in an educational setting?  Thanks for
your input.  It is appreciated!
