I emailed the files to myself and opened them on the new machine when I migrated. But I also considered the zip drive solution, taking the zip disk to school, downloading and burning a CD. Luckily, I was able to email the docs (yes, it took time). I think there are also free storage spaces on the internet where you can upload files to save them. http://www.filegenie.com looks like a good one, but has a fee starting at $2.99 per month. https://www.ibackup.com/regtermsssl.htm is also subscription for 50 MB for $3.00 per month. I think the Yahoo.mail gives free storage, but I'm not sure about signing up for Yahoo mail. But at $3 for a month, sure is cheaper than a $60 cable and gives you time to fool around with it.
