One of my internet service providers has recommended Mailwasher as a program
to get rid of inappropriate email. This company has a filter to stop spam,
but apparently those sending it have found a way around it. I have tried
setting up a special mailbox so that the spam goes into it without success.
Has anyone out there used Mailwasher and if so, what are the problems
asssociated with it? I am using Windows XP Home Edition.
What is so interesting is that I don't use this particular company as my
primary source of email. I use it for my web provider because I get more
space and a mailbox comes with it. I don't check this mailbox each time I
get online but only periodically and then get an entire list of email that I
don't want. The support people have been very nice about it and told me
that every time I get one of these emails to send it to them so they realize
the problem.
