There is a long math problem in it which is done incorrectly, as it totally ignores order of operations. There is, however, a very nice little book I read to my 7th and 8th grade math classes during the time they were taking standardized tests last year, as a break and a review all at once. The math is sound, the explanations clear and the writing engaging, especially if you have a white board or chalk board handy while you are reading. A math devil invades a boy's dreams and challenges him to think and understand math, each chapter a different night, a different dream and a different math concept: _The Math Devil: a Mathematical Adventure_. I don't have any other information on the book, but thank you for reminding me about it. Now, I'll have to find it to order for my libraries. -- Barbara Adams Currier K-6 Library Media Teacher (Former math teacher) Kirschen/Shackelford Schools Modesto City Schools bacurrier@charter.net =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=- All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
