Hi. I have a friend who is having problems with her 17 year old son. She had AOL at her house and he had an issue with self control (looking at inappropriate web sites). No matter what she did he would figure out how to overcome passwords, etc. She discontinued her AOL account. Last week she discovered that AOL was back on the computer. She is very upset that her minor son was able to set up an account on his own. He said he got one of those discs that offer 1000 free hours and installed it. Her son insisted he did not use her credit card or any credit card to start the new account. I find this hard to believe. When I had AOL a few years ago even though there was a free hours offer a credit card number was still needed to activate the account. When the free hours were used up the credit card was charged. If her son used her credit card without her permission she has a bigger problem than just AOL. Have you had any experience with this?
