For those of you wondering, I called AOL (should of thought of that =
before I
e-mailed all of you, I guess...)

I can set up an AOL account with a CD or from their home page with a =
credit
card or a phone number, and a promise that I am 18 years of age or =
older. At
the end of the trial period I will be charged $23.90 on the credit card =
or
phone bill unless I call to cancel the account.

I told the sales operator that my friend's 17 year old son had set up an
account and he said AOL has no way of knowing if someone who says they =
are
18 or older really is or not.
