It's that time of year again (at least in my household). During the
holidays, we have visited our families who live in Oklahoma (Tulsa, Lone
Grove, Oklahoma City, Ardmore, etc.) ...thus, begins the anguish of being
back in "God's Country" but not "being there permanently". My husband
"longs" for a teaching position (again) in Oklahoma. He is certified in
Special Education (Mild / Moderate, Learning Disabilities, and Severe
Profound), Physical Education (most all sports), and Visual Impairment
(Blind and Low Vision). He has been a teacher for 11 years in both Oklahoma
and now in Texas, but REALLY wants to go back "home."
If anyone knows of any upcoming openings in any of these areas within their
school systems, could you please respond to me? Of course, I would be
interested in a library position in or around the same area (public schools,
private schools, universities, or public libraries-- have certifications and
the MLIS from the ALA accredited university--OU). I've been teaching for 20
years now and we both have our Oklahoma teaching certifications.
This would be a great surprise and wonderful present to him. I'm not
unhappy about my current position, but our families are too far away and the
trips just make us all homesick.
