Dear LM-Netters, (This is a reposting of my original message that I sent to the group when most people were on break. Thank you to those of you who have already responded.) Happy New Year! The principal of my grade 6-8 middle school has asked my opinion of implementing the AR program at our library. Our 6th grade team is pushing him to get this program at our level, in hopes of being able to replace another literacy program, called PALS. He is concerned about the logistics of implementing it in our media center and more importantly, the benefits in regards to improving student literacy. I know it can be highly motivational, but his interest is in does it help kids become better readers? Thanks in advance! --Lisa Dreesman,Library Media Specialist Carroll Middle School / Adams Elementary Carroll, IA dreesman@win-4-u.net ldreesman@carroll.k12.ia.us =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=- All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
