I asked for help in finding books of interest to our large group of fire =
department volunteers. Here are the hits and the books I found on =
Amazon.com that I am considering:

Fighting Fire Trucks by Larry Shapiro
Firefighting: Basic skills and techniques by Mike Ertel, Gregory C. =
Berk
Fire Fighting by Jack Gottschald
Fire by Edward C. Goodman

Although I haven't read it yet, The Big Burn by Jeanette Ingold comes to =
me highly recommended. I have ordered it for my collection.
------------------------------------------------------------------

A fiction book you might look at is "the Big Burn" by Jeanette Ingold. =
It is
a fictional account of the great Montana fires of the 1910 era; because =
of
the deaths resulting from that fire, some of the fire fighting =
techniques
used today were developed then. It is high school age appropriate.
