Dear experienced media specialists, I am still new to the job and I had some questions regarding author visits. First of all, how is an author visit structured? Does the author present at a school assembly? To small groups? What exactly happens? Are there workshops for students? What costs are involved? Finally, who are some of your favorite authors to have visit? I am in a High School in north central Florida. I'd like to think about an author visit for the next school year. As you can see from my questions i am still learning. I am always grateful to the group of LM Netters who share their expertise so willingly.
