My sister told me about a new book:
Who's Got Game?: The Ant or the Grasshopper?
by Pascal Lemaitre (Illustrator), Toni Morrison (Author), Slade Morrison
Toni Morrison retells the fable and suggests that the grasshopper who
contributes art to the community is as important as the ant who contributes
food.

Amazon.com contains  a review from Booklist.       I immediately thought of
*Frederick* by Lionni and thought that these  two books and Aesop's fables
would make a great discussion and compare/contrast lesson with older
children.
