SEC: moving from HS to MS advice

Hello, :)

I have been a high school librarian for 11 years, after being an elementary
librarian for two years before that. Next year, I'll be in a middle school.
I've checked the archives and can find advice for people moving to high
school, but not from high school. I'd appreciate any words of wisdom you
all might have.

My new school is becoming a middle school next year (adding 6th grade,
sending 9th grade to high school). Any experiences about the transition
from junior high to middle school would be much appreciated as well.
