I have been a regular education classroom teacher as well as a
specialist prep teacher. I read your post and have a few questions
before I can really respond to your questions.

First of all, is it your job to provide prep time for the regular
education teacher?

Do these students that you speak of have one to one aides?=20

Is there a weekly meeting in your building that is held by the special
education staff (we call ours Child Study) that you could take your
concerns to?

If you are a prep teacher and you are left 'alone' with the students,
you should get copies of the Individualized Education Plans from the
SPED Case Manager - do you get those?

I understand that it is NOT that you don't want the kids in your class,
I feel like you are willing to work with some team support. I would like
to support you and with some additional information, I may be able to
offer some suggestions that will help all students benefit from your
class.
