At the end of this message you will find the answer to my question of how to set Word as the default (instead of Notepad) in Follett applications. I received the answer from Kim Bergeron, a very helpful member of the Follett-Talk group. I changed my settings first thing this morning and am as happy as a clam at high tide :-). BTW, I included the subscription information for Follett-Talk at the end of Kim's message. Open My Computer. Choose View, Folder Options. Click the Files Type tab. In the open window, scroll down and highlight Text Document. Click the Edit button. In the bottom window, highlight "open" and click Edit button. Click the Browse button and navigate to the Word.exe file. (The default location is "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Winword.exe"). Click OK until all screens close.
