Hello! I am beginning the school year in a new position in a high school media center in Atlanta, GA. I am joined by another new media specialist (there are 2 certified media specialists plus a media clerk) who is coming from the local public library system. Since we are essentially going to be the "blind leading the blind" I would love to hear ideas on how to establish an equitable working environment with two media partners. I have 6 years experience as a school media specialist, and she has 13 years as a public school librarian. I can foresee that I will probably need to take the "reins" on a lot of things since I have more experience in school media centers, but how do I do this and still allow her the same boundaries for input that all media specialists should have as well as give her a chance to grow?? Thanks a lot Jerol King Media Specialist Washington High School Atlanta, GA =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=- All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
